THE VISION OF ODD ARILD OLSEN
of Norway, a Soldier in The Salvation Army
![]()
On November 1, 2000, I had a vision for TSRMC International based on these Holy Bible words from Isaiah 43: 18-21.
ISA 43:18 "Forget the former things; do not dwell on the past.
ISA 43:19 See, I am doing a new thing! Now it springs up; do you not perceive it?
I am making a way in the desert and streams in the wasteland.
ISA 43:20 The wild animals honor me, the jackals and the owls, because I provide water in the
desert and streams in the wasteland, to give drink to my people, my chosen,
ISA 43:21 the people I formed for myself that they may proclaim my praise. (NIV)

The new thing, in this scripture, that I saw, as a vision, was a Christian Motorcycle Club in The Salvation Army, International, world wide.
My vision was announced to the leadership of the Salvation Army in Norway, at the Congress in Oslo,
and the vision of a Salvation Army, Christian Motorcycle Club, became a reality, June 30,2001.
Our members meet all kinds of bikers in the Motorcycle Club environment in local districts.
In other words, we go to meetings and parties, and also attend events and rides arranged by the clubs, and ride groups in our local areas.

The Salvation Riders Motorcycle Club. . .INTERNATIONAL established our club colours:
This is a Description and the meaning of our COLOURS
-The horse on the patch symbolizes the white horse on which Christ will ride at His return (Rev.19)
-The wings symbolizes the Holy Spirit.
-The four flags (also Salvation Army Flags) symbolizes”the four corners of the world” meaning everywhere on earth.
-The swords symbolizes the Word of God (Eph.6:11-14).
-The cross symbolizes of course the Cross on which Christ died.(He is not hanging on the Cross. He has risen from the grave…)
-The red frame around the sybols is a typical Salvation Army logo frame.
-We also use The Salvation Army Colours:
-RED: Stands for the blood of Christ (salvation)
-BLUE: Represents purity, Holiness
-YELLOW: symbolizes the Holy Spirit (fire)

Those who saw the vision, as I did, became Full Patch members here in Norway.
They helped develop these main rules for becoming a full patch member in the club, world wide.
1. To have full membership in the club, you have to be a christian. As a member in the club, you are under the Salvation Army’s statements.
You must also have a driver’s license for motorcycle and a motorcycle fit to use for TSRMC ministry.
2. Before you become a member in the club, you will be a prospect for 3 months if you are an officer, or 6 months if you are a soldier or an adherent.
Others can be a prospect for up to 2 years, until they fulfill the points in these rules.
As a prospect, you wear the lower patch and “MC” on your back and the stripes at the front.
3. The vest, with patches, are similar to a uniform in the Salvation Army.
Every promise given as an officer, soldier or adherent counts for the MC-club as well. Any use of intoxicant is therefore not allowed.
4. The protection rules for privacy counts inside the club as it does generally, and specially about the people that we meet, with the respect that they can claim.
5. Every information to the press has to be sorted out with the president.
6. Every member in the club has the same influence, and everyone shall be heard.
7. Any decision in the club shall have 2/3 of the votes.
8. Back patches and stripes shall be ordered through the president. This is the same for every country.
9. If these MAIN RULES are not being followed, you can be excluded from the club and the patches will be removed.

We have over 100 members world wide, in Norway, Sweden, Denmark Germany U.K., Australia, New Zealand, Canada, and Florida in the U.S.A.
The TSRMC International Executive Committee, and I, are in prayer for Jesus our Lord, to call men and women,
who are biking enthusiasts in the Salvation Army, world wide, to join in this vision and pursue membership in TSRMC.
If you are a member of a varied activity group and/or a Salvation Army volunteer who serves as an advisor,
associate and are a committed participant in The Salvation Army’s service functions, you too, are invited to contact us about involvement.
On behalf of our international membership, I invite you to be a part of this new and growing ministry in the Salvation Army.
EPH 2: 8 For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith--and this not from yourselves, it is the gift of God--
9 not by works, so that no one can boast. 10 For we are God's workmanship, created in Christ Jesus to do good works,
which God prepared in advance for us to do. (NIV)
I pray God’s blessing on you as you prayerfully consider The Salvation Riders Motorcycle Club,
as a new place for you to serve Jesus, in your country. God has prepared things for you to do, so, please do contact us for more details about TSRMC membership.
